Dropping Icons...

Windows 2000 keeps losing the icons on my desktop.

The paths still work, the text is still under the icon,
but the image is gone. If I refresh the desktop they come
back, but as 256 color images.

Web content is disabled on my desktop.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Thanks;
Mark

It's possible it's a video card driver issue then. I've had images
disappear on me like that in the past. See if there are any driver updates
for your adapter.

.

delete "ShellIconCache" file and let Windows rebuild it. (usual location
is c:\WinNt\)

Alright I'll try this too. I have reinstalled my monitor
driver, but haven't restarted my system yet.

Thanks;

I tried reinstalling my monitor driver, plus activeicon to
clear the cache and increase icon file size, plus i tried
closing netmeeting. None of these ideas worked. Thanks
anyways guys, if you have any other suggestions - let me
know.
