Dropper.Inor Virus

I picked up a virus called Dropper.Inor virus. It is in C:system volume
information/Restore file. I cannot get rid of of it. I cannot restore my
computer to an earlier date. I have XP Professional as my operating system.
Please help me if you can.

The virus has infected your System Restore folder.
You'll need to turn-off System Restore, reboot, then turn it back on.
One cannot delete an individual Restore Point....it's all or nothing.
