drop-down menu click causes application crush

Hi,
I have a weird problem on one of user's pc.
WINDOWS XP Pro. Pentium 4 256M

When click on Address bar drop-down IE6 hangs (needs ctl-alt-del)

The same with Office programs. When click insert file (in Word) and want to
choose
drive or folder.

Run full scan and defrag... No result. All the rest running perfect.

What it could be???

Thanks,
Michael.
