Whenever I right click something in my start menu or in
explorer it takes a long time for the right click menu to
drop down. Also whenever I try to open a file in a
program it hangs and I have to do Alt+Ctrl+Del and double
click the program in the windows task manager application
tab to get it to work again, afterwards I have no
problems!
Can anybody tell me what's going wrong?

Thanks,

Janice.

Hi Deryk,

Thanks for taking the time to answer. My computer has an
AMD Athlon XP 2100+ 1.73 GHZ and 512MB of RAM. The Page
File is currently set on 768 MB. So I don tthink the RAM
and Processor are the problem! The computer is only
about a year old and I haven't experienced this before.
The motherboard was faulty and recently replaced but this
started happening about a month and a half later.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Janice.
