Drop Dow Address' In Explorer

I am having difficulty accessing web sites that are on the " drop down
addresses"
When I click on the arrow at the right it just sits there and stalls . I
have to get to a specific site by typing in the web site in the address bar
and then it appears just below the line and then I can click on it and it
will open . I can't just simply click on the arrow at right and see all of my
favorite sites.

Can anyone help?

Unsure why the drop down list is not working correctly but the easiest way
and the proper way to store your favourites is to visit the website and
select the favourites menu and then select add to favourites, that way you
can arrange your favourites in folders and always have them available to you
while browsing.
