I turn the computer on, only to find a couple of messages
One which it says 'CD Recording Software drivers which
will cause windows to be unstable will be disabled.'
Both messages basically say the same thing, Should i
delete the drivers that are doing this?

Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, delete all references to the
offending drivers, reboot and Windows will re-detect and install the
drivers.

Probably caused by an out-of-date version of Roxio CD Burning
software. Check with the Roxio website for updates for your specific
version(s) of their programs if you have them installed.

See MVP Alex Nichol's article on CD Burning in Windows XP at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm for more details and additional
suggestions.

Good luck
