DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Recently I've installed Windows XP Professional.
After hooking to the internet and downloading ALL of the latest
patches, drivers
and windows update I'm experiencing a most annoying problem.

The computer boots normally. After a couple of minutes, without
touching anything,
BSOD comes up stating:

....
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
stop: 0x000000D1 (0x00000008,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF847EB5B)
IdeChnDr.sys - Address F847Eb5B base at F847A000, Date stamp 3c7fbd77)
....

After browsing the newsgroups, seeing many such entries it seems I
should do one
of the following:
- Uninstall Intel's application accelerator.
- Uninstall Norton Anti Virus
- Uninstall some drivers I downloaded.

I must state that before this installation, my Windows XP was rock
solid for about a year or so. No hardware changes were made. It also
worked fine
with the Intel Application Accelerator.

I'm about to uninstall some stuff but wanted to know whether the
problem may
be due to combination of reasons or if anyone had any problems with
Norton's Anti Virus 2003 (previsouly I had 2002 which worked fine).

Also, if the new installation from another CD (and perhaps minor
version?)
could cause the problems.


P.S.
I've got redhat linux workstation on another partition but I don't
think
this has anything to do with it or has it?

I've got a feeling that the problem comes both from IAA and Norton
Anti Virus
combined. Anyway, since it works fine now, I'm not going to try
anything and not going near IAA unless somebody pays me a couple of
billion dollars.
