driver ONLY for HP scanjet 4400c

Hello

I have the scanner hp 4400c and the installation has a huge 63 mb download
that
has a software that I dont want to use... I want to use the built in WIA
from XP
and load ONLY the driver from the HP installation. However I see no option
for
doing this in the installer, and HP does not give a driver-only install....

I tried unpacking the installer and looking in there for the driver.. and I
tried various things there
but the result was bad... and I had to do a system restore.

I think also that this thing created problems with IE7, and no I have
reformated
because of this.. and I dont want to install all the package again.

Any ideas how I can get only the driver and use the XP WIA with that?

A generic driver would be fine... thanks

Beware: If you try to download from here, clicking on the "Download
File" link might only create a new window showing the page you are
already looking at. This happened to me using FireFox 1.5.0.9 (several
times) and Internet Explorer 6. It worked after two or three more
attempts with IE6.
