Driver IRQL-conflict

J

JOSHUA DAVID

I recently installed a Sierra 750 AirCard with its
drivers available at {http://www.sierrawirelsss.com).
However, my computer hangs or blue screens: DRIVER
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL every 5-10 minutes I am online
surfing.

I have noticed the IRQ conflict.
---------------------------------
Via device manager;
IRQ-11-(PCI): Inte; 828-45G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics
Controller
IRI-11-(PCI): Texas Instruments PCI-1510 CardB:us
Controller
IRQ-11-(ISA):Sierra Wireless AirCard GPRS Adapter Parent
IRQ-11-(ISA):Sierra Wireless AirCard GPRS modem
IRQ-11-(ISA): Sierra Wireless GPRS Adapter
---------------------------------

However, I am neither able to change the IRQ's nor
rectify this conflict. I am unable to reinstall Windows
XP Professinal because I do not have the CD.

Is there any other way to fix this? I am positive that
the conflict is between the network card and the graphics
controller. I've disabled other IRQ11's such as the
USB's. I have no options in Device Manager(greyed out),
tried updating all drivers to present. It is a Dell
Inspiron 1100, 2.2Ghz,Windows XP-Professional,etc
purchased on June 2003.(kinda new).

Thanks and anticiate replies.

Hi, Joshua.

I suspect that you have an ACPI (Advanced Configuration Power Interface)
computer, which should automatically configure your resources. You can
verify this by clicking on the plus sign next to Computer in Device Manager.
If it says ACPI, it's likely that the driver (or card) you recently
installed is not ACPI-compliant. Try updating to the most recent driver (on
the manufacturer's website) or use a new card. Also, in addition to the
information that you posted, what is the STOP code that precedes the
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL?
