Driver for MS wheel mouse?

M

ms

I didn't find it on the MS site and Google search.

Hopefully, works in W98 as well as W2K.

A URL for downloading driver software for a older Intellimouse 1.1A MS
wheel mouse?

TIA

Why do you want old outdated driver and software? Sounds like it's time for
a new device.

I work with what I have, being retired. And a normal wheel mouse is fine
with me.

Yep, hear that. The latest driver set should work fine.

The original question: a specific URL to download, frankly I got lost on
the MS site, their Search was no help except for new mice.

Didn't a driver get installed when you installed the operating system? If so
I'd leave it as installed. Else

Dave, I hope you see this. My newsreader Xnews somehow today is not
showing the rest of this thread.

Anyway, thanks for the download link for the MS mouse software. I started
install to only get the version number before I saved the file.
Immediately got the error screen "this is a newer version than present,
and will remove the present version". I stopped right there and will save
it for the future, use existing software (as you mentioned) for now.

I will shortly connect the MS wheel mouse to existing W2K, somehow I feel
the wheel won't work unless enabled, dunno.

Thanks for your help.
