driver and win xp help

Ok I am using my computer which is a e-machines T1400 with win xp
home version installed I am browsing the net with IE 6.0 and I also
have firefox 0.9 has my browsers all of a sudden the computer
frezzes up and acts like it has a major fit. in the middle of my
session.

I get back on online and it says I have a driver problem, I had event
viewer on and it captured this:

Cliff

In addition to the excellent advice from Will, go to Start/Run and type
msinfo32 and press OK. Click Components/Problem Devices to check for
possible hardware problems. This is definitely hardware related and may be
the result of recent hardware additions or hardware driver installations.
