I want to burn some files using windows xp . I put in my CD to be used and
when I try to open it through My computer clicking on the correct drive with
the Cd in it, it gives me the message No accessible :> Can someone help with
t his problem please. Thanks nume52

Try this.

1. Open My Computer - Right click on your CD Drive icon and choose
Properties. Click Recording Tab and make a check mark on "Enable CD-Recording
on this drive".

If the Recording tab is missing then try this:

1. Click Start - Run - type SERVICES.MSC and press Enter key.
2. From the list find IMAPI CD-Burning.
3. Double-click the service and change the Startup type to Automatic and
click Start.

Hope this help, let us know!

Thanks RajKohli ,It worked like a charm. I also appreciate the picture, I am
a visual learner. If I could be so bold I would like to ask about another
problem I have had for awhile. All of a sudden all my folders in My documents
lost their names when I open it from My Desktop. Now, it will sometimes not
even open from there. If I open it in another program to get something from
it , the names are all there? Would you have any idea what happened there? I
would be so happy to resolve this irritating problem Thanks nume52

Open My Documents. Click View button on Standard toolbar and choose some
another view like Details (You can also click on View menu bar and then click
Details). Now, again click on View button (or View menu bar) and hold down
Shift key before clicking on Thumbnail view.

Hope this help, let us know!

What version of Nero you are using and what brand your CD/DVD Writer is?
Sometimes, our players doesn't recognize all the media disc. So, For the
time, you can try different CD/DVD Media, check if they work for you.

Humm, I have Nero on my computer it came from Gateway . I did not buy it nor
would I ever. I open it up to backup my pictures under the heading videos and
pictures and all it has is a video choice and no choice to capture my
picturss. I think it is Nero Express and Has Nero Smart Start. I truly
dislike it and always have. The other program I had was wonderful but was not
compatiable with XP. Does XP call upon this Nero program to burn? I have
Sony DVD and Memorex CD. I am a Grandma Computer Person , so I do not know a
lot of technical things. Use it for creative things like making photo
collages and working on old pictures mostly. Thanks for any response. nume52

I told you to change the Media. Have you did that? Try some another companies
blank cd media.
