drive name change??

I recently installed Win XP Pro on my machine which has a cd rom drive and a
CD writer. Why did it decide to allocate drive names 'G' and 'H' to these
devices and ignore drives D,E and F ?
Just curious....

James, go to Classic Control Panel>Admin Tools>Computer Management>Disk
Management.
There rt click on your CD drives and choose change drive letter.
