Drive letters

How can i change the letter assigned to a external hard drive,at the moment
it is j,and i want o change it to f,as i have changed pc it was assigned as f
on the old one,so now some pograms are looking for files in the wrong place
 
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management.

Go to Disk Administrator. Right-click the disk in question and select
change driveletter.

Note: Sometimes this setting doesn't stick for removeable drives, but
usually it does.
 
To add, depending what Apps are still looking at the origonal drive letter,
or what they are looking for, unless the apps have an option to specify
locations, you may still be stuffed.
