I recently installed the windows 2000 SP4 and now find that the a:, d: and E:
drives are no longer accessible - they worked fine before the SP4. I have
tried uninstalling the drives and rebooting - the drivers are installed fine,
but access is still not available

Go to command prompt and give diskmgmt.msc and hit enter. On the Disk
management console can you see some drives that do not have a drive letter.
If yes then name them and you can access them in future.

sounded good so I tried it - the drives are still named, but I tried renaming
them, and using other drive letters but still no luck - any other ideas?
