Dreamscene is black

I´ve installed dreamscene and it´s new pak. But when I try it, all I get is a
black background. No error messages, just a black background. I´ve tried
other videos, and that´s not a problem. Just the one´s from MS. Is it a codec
problem? I don´t think I installed some other codecs besides the ones in
PowerDVD, VLC player and quicktime. I have a Nvidia 6800 GT.

Shouldn't be a codec problem, as they should all be installed by default for
Dreamscene supported files. You say you can get other files to play in the
background? Does your hard drive go wild, like it's still trying to load the
file? That's what mine was doing for about 30 seconds before I saw the video
(yea, I need an upgrade!).

No the hard drive doesn´t go wild. The only thing that I notice is that I get
a "nvidia decoders" icon down by the clock. In media player it´s not a
problem to look on the videos.

I´ve tried other .mpg files, and that is the same. the only files I can get
working is .wmv files.

Hi,
I have the same problem. I however have the Nvidai 7900 GS card.
Wierd.. My ram and backgound tasks seem like the file is running however it
is black. A little bit more HDD activity too.
