Dreamscene backgrounds the wrong size

This is a wierd one and is driving me NUTS! I have been using dreamscene for
a LONG time with no problems until I just installed Ulead CD and DVD
pictureshow 4 (old, I know) and now my dreamscene backgrounds do not fit on
my screen. It basically seems like it made the dreamscene backgrounds about
10000X8000 or something because most of the picture is off the screen. I
have tried uninstalling and reinstalling dreamscene to no avail. I have
tried the "fit to window" tile, etc settings and even if I tile them, all of
the tiles are the same cut off image. Videos still work fine and are not
enlarged at all.

I have a Nvidia 8800gt video card and I just updated to the newest drivers
to try and solve this problem - didnt work.

I am at my wits end and would hate to just go back to a static background :(

Silly question, but have you tried resetting your Dreamscape background image
via the "fit to screen" or "center" options below the dreamscape background
selector?? That helps mine after flipping screen orientations from portrait
to landscape and back.

You may also try changing your screen resolution and then switch it back.
That has helped with one image editor I have that is older & thinks 1024 x768
is the largest resolution, as it requires that to run, even though l use 1200
x800 normally. My NVIDIA driver never seems toreset properly after use of
that program until I manually correct it.
other than that, I'm out of ideas for your dilemma.

Yes, I tried all the options for tiling, centering, etc and nothing helped.
I even tried resizing the whole way down to 800X600 and back up to my regular
resolution of 1680X1050 and that did not even help :( It almost seemed as I
resized the desktop, the dreamscene background stayed the same size. wierd!

Why don't you do a System Restore. You did create a restore point or
create an image of your system using imaging software before you installed
the new software, didn't you?

Nope - I never use system restore since any error should be recoverable
without having to redo a system! It might have done an automatic one, I dont
know, since i have not checked.

If reinstalling the dreamscene software didnt fix it I just want to know
what else could do this. Using system restore is a cheap way to get a system
running, not an actual fix. I dont mean to sound rude, but too many people
think system restore is a cure all! I wish they would remove it from the OS
and actually SOLVE problems rather than going around them.

Seems I will just go to a static background and be done with it. I thought
someone from MS would monitor these discussions and be able to help.
