windows dreamscene content not working

i cant use the windows dreamscene content as a desktop background. when i
click on a centain dreamscene, the processor just starts to work harder but
nothing else happens. I can use any other video (in the right format) that I
want for a dreamscene (ex. sample videos) but not the dreamscene content (ex.
the river flowing or water dripping)

But, when i got my computer the dreamscene content worked fine, then one day
it didnt, and i cant remember adding any new programs or applications. Is
there another way i can check if i have "an improper codec to view MPEG or
WMV content?"

I had the same problem and found and easy solution on another forum.

I used the Vista Codec package and Dreamscen is working again

For me, Dreamscene works for everything but the MPEG files. It plays one
time and then freezes for a while before reverting to a solid color screen.

I clicked on the link below but got "The article that you are looking for
cannot be found". I'd be interested in knowing which of the codec packages
out there you used and if it was as simple as just installing the package.
