Dreaded msg: This page cannot be displayed

Over the past couple of weeks, the dreaded message :

"The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings."

On most occasions, I can clear the msg and see the desired webpage by clicking on the "refresh" button 6,8,12 or 16 times. However, this is happening more often each day, and is starting to get frustrating. Can anyone help? If you have any suggestions, they need to be rather specific, since I don't know a whole lot about this stuff.
