Open site way then "Operation Aborded", while fine with Netscape

Some site I got the msg:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site http:// (site address here)
Operation Aborded

After I click OK, the title showed: Cannot find server
And page showed:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The
Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or
you may need to adjust your browser settings.

I have tried reinstalled and latest service pack ---still same

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Hi Frank

Apprciate the prompt reply, however I did both remove lines and rename file. the err or msg still pop up when the site opened half way --------
