Drag/Drop from Outlook 2007 to Sharepoint: Word "Copy" Appears

S

I think I said most of my issue in the subject. Hopefully that helps future
searchers...

When I open my local calendar in Outlook 2007 and drag something to my
sharepoint calendar, the sharepoint entry always starts with the word "Copy:"
then the entry name.

When my cohorts drag/drop, they do not get the "Copy:" appearing.

I searched help, Google and these forums, but not successfully. Perhaps I
am using bad search keywords.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks Diane... although that is frustrating news. I either have to manually
edit that out of every entry or not use this functionality and manually
recreate the critical events on the SharePoint calndar because I have Outlook
2007 SP2?

I am surprised this isn't an option someplace. I have 400 resources viewing
the SharePoint calendar and having all my events start with "Copy:" is sloppy.

:(

Thanks for the help though!

It can't be disabled that I am aware - the reason for it is because people
wanted to know where those 400 events came from so they could more easily
identify the original if 2 copies had different information.

Makes sense if we use these tools as MS imagines we should.

You have been very helpful, Diane! Thanks!
