I'm downloading a lot of stuff. But the downloadmanagers i've seen,
don't have the function to add a note or a comment.

Does anyone know of there is a downloadmanager with a note-function?

Many of the freeware download managers have a comments or notes area for the
download. Flashget has one

For that list, add FreshDownload and DLexpert.

Ehhmmm Imho, Freshdownload can't add notes or comments ...

Yes it can, take another look when you're downloading something. See
that line named 'Description'?
Or, after the download has finished, look at its properties in
Freshdownload. From there you can add a 'Comment'.

Yes, it can.

When you click to add a new download, there are three fields:

URL:
Save As:
Description: /add your comment here/

When you are looking at your historical download list, and want to add or
change comments for an entry, then click Properties on that entry. On the
dialog box that comes up, add what you want where it says, COMMENT: ______

The comments are viewable in the download list, under the Description
column. As to which columns to display, use Options > Display.

.. . .

By the way, to extract your download history, those .DFL files, to a
text file, FD does not yet offer that function intrinsically. Meantime,
I have found several programs that will do it.. I'd have to look up
names (will do if I see any interest), but one that I can mention from
memory is Textextract.

I use DLExpert for this very reason. You can add a note and it puts all
the file info into a .txt file next to your download (named the same as
the DL plus .txt). This is quite handy when you download something with
a nondescriptive name like agsetup.exe and you can't remember what it
was or what it does.
