When I try to download something off the internet they stop at about 2 percent. Some one please tell me how to fix this.

Can't help with so little info provided - what kind of/speed of internet
connection? What version/SP of IE? What errors do you get?

i dont get any error. i just bought a brand new computer. its a dell 4600 2.8 ghz . for my connection i got cable modem. my isp is roadrunner. i was trying to daonload a video for my game that is 299mb and after is gets to about 2 percent it looks like its downloading but the bar or anything is not going up. yesterday i went to internet options and in the advanced tab i hit default. is that the problem?

Hi Travis -

Well that's a huge file and it'll probably take 20-30 min. depending on your
connection. It also depends on if you're downloading from a ftp server or
the web.

Try tweaking your internet connection with TCP Optimizer. I use it and it's
a very good program.
http://www.mrtech.com/news/messages/3048.html Use at your own risk! I
suggest you read a little about it before you make changes to your system.
It does contain a restore function if you should wanna go back to your
previous settings.

You can get it at the above link. HTH
