Downloading with IE6

when i downloaded a file i accidently unchecked the ask before downloading
box, and now IE is autodownloading files when i click to download and not
asking me where to save them or if i want to download them etc.

Does anyone know how to get it back to what it was (ie asking me before it
downloads etc)

What type of file is it? For example, if you want the dialog prompt to
appear again (with the "always ask before opening this type of file" check
box) for the .pdf file type then check the "Confirm open after download"
option in Windows explorer "tools->folders options->file
types->pdf->advanced".
