Downloading/Viewing of PDFs Shutting down IE

Hello,
I have the SP2 Updated versions of IE 6.0. Just recently updated my virus
software as well. Now I'm having problems accessing .pdf webpages.
Sometimes I get luckly and it works - other times...not so luckly. At first,
if I clicked on a pdf link, it was just giving me a blank page and showing
"done" at the bottom of screen - but now it's completely shutting down IE.
I can open .pdf sites up from my Adobe software - but not from IE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...this is getting frustrating

I suggest uninstalling Adobe Reader and reinstalling from the Adobe Web ste.
