Is there anyone who could help me with this problem. I can download from a
disc but whenever I try to download from the internet, no matter where I save
it the setup is never there. I have tried cleaning out the temporary files
and everything. I tried to download nortons on line and games and was on the
phone for an hour with nortons and cannot figure it out, it seems something
is blocking the downloads. I have vista premium, not very impressed with it.
Please help

Try this. Start a download, when the save to dialogue box pops up, look
closely at where it is sending it to. Unless you have changed it, it should
default to the Downloads folder under your user folder. Like mine would
be...

c:\users\DS\downloads

After you download, see if there is a compatibility Tab at the top of the
explorer window where you told it to download. If there is select it and you
will be taken to a virtual store and should see your files.

sorry, this didn't work either, the only thing at the top was showing to
click because it was being blocked, I did and it still didn't work

Are you using firefox? Try right clicking the link and using Save Link As or
Save File Location As, instead of just clicking the link. (note where its
being downloaded too)

Also parental controls could be turned on or something.

thank, I'll try that
