I have xp sp2, a 1533Mhz amd processor. Have downloaded several versions of
trial adobe. Flash player as well. I am no longer able to download PDFs.
What comes up is a square icon with a red green and blue geometric shapes
inside. I am unsure as how to proceed except to contact adobe next. Anyone
got more of a clue than I ??

You will need to install Adobe Reader not Flash player.
Should work.

Since the issue revolves around the Adobe products I suspect that
contacting/reviewing Adobe FAQ, forums and tech support would be the
quickest way to resolution of the issue.

Thank You Bob for your help. I did try to download reader and the process
comes out as an error # 1714. Tells me to contact techniccal support. IT
also states that it cannot uninstall portions of previous adobe downloads.

Just to let you know. I went back to adobe, entered the error #1714 in a
search and came up with a TechNote. It described the inability to remove
older versions of adobe and then it gives the solution. There are 4 of them,
but the one that suited me was to use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.
And the rest of the instructions are there for anyone to read at the adobe
website. Thx for the help.
Good advice all around. I'm back in business.
