Downloading no longer offers options

Recently, the behaviour has changed when I download a file. Instead of
being offered the two options;
- Open
- Save As
in my Firefox browser, the file is *automatically* downloaded.

How can I restore normal operation please?

Go into tools and options. In the main tab check the show the downloads
window box.

Thanks bud, appreciate your help. But in FF's Tools>Options>Download I
already have 'Sow Download Manager...' enabled. However, I'll
experiment with the 'View & Edit Actions' dialog, which I'd forgotten
about.

Wasn't sure if it was down to FF or XP, so simultaneously posted in FF
Support Forum.
