downloading new software

I get an error message "6001" trying to download from cd. Program is
better homes & garden suite.the message says to: (1) close all
programs (2) empty temporary files (3) check on line connection. Have
tried all to no avail. HELP!! TU

According to google its as a result of installshield file corruption. You
sure you deleted your temp files?
