Downloading Livemail 2008 problem

N

novicecomp

I recently got a new laptop with Vista OS and it included Livemail
#6.0.600016386 which I think is the beta version . I tried to download the
most recent version 2008 and for some reason it does not install . After
installation I am still left with the original Livemail... I would have
thought that it would install over the old version but now wonder if I have
to uninstall the old version before downloading the new.

I am hesitant to do this since I don't want to lose my emails or settings.

Can any one advise a solution Thanks

You'll get answers for Windows Live Mail faster in newsgroup:

That version looks more like Windows Mail than Windows Live Mail.
