downloading jpg's,jpeg's.

When I try to save a picture that is in jpg or jpeg
format, IE wants to always save it as a bmp file. How do I
change IE to save it in the jpg/jpeg format?

I am having the same problem. Not only will IE ONLY
allow it to be saved as a bitmap, it also changes the
existing filename to "Untitled". How can we save these
files with their original formating and filenames?

This is a common problem that is usually cured by deleting your Temporary
Internet Files.
In case you do not not know how to do this, open up Internet Explorer and go
Tools/InternetOption and on the General Tab select the Delete Files under
the Temporary Internet Files section.

A full temp full is one cause, but there is also the broken Active-X file
cause (which has happened to me).
