Downloading email deletes it from server

When Windows Mail downloads email, it deletes it from the email account Inbox
(deletes it from the server). Have Live Hotmail and MSN pop3 email accounts.
This is a new problem. I can't relate it to any changes or updates, and I
don't think it is related to Hotmail or MSN. (I don't have any other email
accounts, so I can't be certain.) Have Vista SP1 Home Premium 32 bit
 
I had the same problem. I've been searching for the e-mails that do not show
any longer with my original provider. Very frustrating. Microsoft made no
warning that this would happen. Don't know how to get direct support if there
might be a solution. (As if Windows Vista wasn't enough to deal with!)
