Download win 2000 operating system?

Can I download Windows 2000, or create a boot diskette,
from the internet? A PIF virus infected my computer. I
can no longer boot my computer. I do not have a disk for
the Windows 2000 operating systems since it came with my
computer.

Do a search on boot disk for windows and yes there are sites that do
provide that. The problem may be that your virus may infect the
download, so you may either want to talk to a friend or use a non
infected computer.

That won't help the OP since the Windows CD is still required after booting with
the 4 setup discs.

The computer manufacturer usually supplies some type of rescue or restoration CD
with the system. In some cases the rescue discs must be made when the system is
up and running, so you may only have the choice of restoring the original
configuration.
