Download problem!

I think I made the mistake of downloading a using DAP a program that helps
download programs with resume. In the end I uninstalled it but since then I
cannot download anything using Internet Explorer. I am assuming that is the
cause but it could just he a coincidence.

For example if I try to type www.microsoft.com in my Internet Explorer
address bar I get the message "Application not found".

I get the same message if I try to download anything from a website and
often the links to download are not underlined and the little hand does not
appear.

Help, help, help!

Reinstall IE to repair your protocol entries. I would guess your FTP settings
are altered. If you upgraded to IE7, it should be easy to do that again. IE6
would be rebuilt if you run a Repair setup of XP.
