download problem

I have tried unsuccessfully several times to download
updates from Microsoft's website. I have followed the
instructions as specified on the web page carefully,
and each time the downloads are not being delivered to my
system. I recently was hit by MSBLAST and was able to
get the patch to work but have not been able to download
any security updates since.
Any information would be very helpful.
