download photos from flashcard

When downloading digital photos, I insert my flashcard directly into my pc
and a window pops up automatically asking what I want to do with these photos
(copy to folder, view, etc). Today, without explanation, the window won't pop
up. How do I change the settings to get that automatic prompt back? I'm
using XP Home Edition. Thanks

Is there anything on the card or
is the filesystem stucture on the card corrupt?

The automatic suggestion won't work if it
doesn't understand what it sees.

My Computer, right click on the flashcard drive, properties, Auto Play,
check Always ask what action to perform.
