DELETE PHOTOS DROP DOWN LIST

I would like to know if anyone knows how to delete the drop down list of past
photo galleries i have downloaded from my digital camera when prompted to
assign a different name to the new gallery.

When I download photos from my digital camera, the window pops up asking to
name the photos and the location I would like them put into as well as a box
to check if I want the photos deleted afterwards. I would like to know how to
delete the list of names I have previously entered into the name field.

Thank you!!!

It depends on what program you are using to create the photo galleries.
Since you didn't tell us....

Sorry, I am just using the Windows XP photo wizard. The window I spoke about
that opened up would simply be the window asking what you would like to do
after connecting a USB device to the computer. I chose to add pictures to my
pictures folder. Does this help???

I'm sorry but I don't have an answer for you and a quick Google didn't
bring up anything that looked useful. Hopefully someone who uses the XP
photo wizard will read your post and know.

In the meantime, are the old galleries (folders?) still in your My
Pictures folder? If they are, try moving them out of My Pictures into
the main My Documents folder and see if that does the trick.

No promises,

but I SEEM to recall when I had a digital camera (briefly),
I didn't like the same issue you are talking about. So every
time I downloaded, I IMMEDIATELY moved the folder onto my
desktop. I THEN sorted the pictures and put them in other
folders.

The next time I downloaded pictures from the camera, rather
than being given a selection (since that folder no longer
existed, Windows XP then had to recreate the folder I
MOVED.

I'm a non-tekkie, so no promises, but I hope that helps. I
seem to recall that is how I resolved the issue.

Good luck!
