xp download manager only managers 1/4th of bandwidth any
clues to adjusting/tweeking to get more.?

regards to all.

No such thing as XP Download Manager. You have it on your computer due to
some nefarious program YOU loaded!

I'm about to look into this because I've noticed, on more than one occasion,
that aborted downloads, when re-downloaded the next day for example - after
some obviously very fast re-synchronisation - RESUME from where they left
off. Something that never happened in W98se. So, for a long time I've
suspected that XP pro, has a download manager type facility embedded in it.

regards, Richard

It's just that the downloaded files are retained on your computers hard
drive (in WUTEMP folder). It not a big mystery that with the file already
there that a subsequent try will go very quickly.
