Download Manager Problems

I am having problems downloading The Download Manager. It tells me that
there is no connection even though I am connected to the internet. ISP
provider can't help. Is there a Download Manager that I can download for
free and will work with People PC? I am trying to update Windows on dialup
and get disconected every 4 hours. Really need Download Manager.

There are many, but why ask HERE? This has NOTHING to do with XP and
as such is off topic.
