download jpg files

Hi,
Somehow IExplorer changes the file format from images
from jpg or gif to bmp when downloading. Rather
inconvenient when I tried to download a 8Mb file from the
Hubble telescope and ended with a file of 200 MB which my
system could not handle.

Does anyone have an idea where I can change this or how
to avoid this...

Hi Thierry,

The usual cure for this is to empty the TIF folder (C:\WINDOWS\Temporary
Internet Files).

Just bring up IE, click Tools, Internet Options and then delete your
temporary internet files.
