Want to save images as .JPG

I don't know why but all of a sudden all images that I
download with Internet Explorer 6 are downloaded and saved
as .BMP. I want to download them as .JPG or .GIF or .PNG
or whatever they are. There used to be the option but now
I can only save them as .BMP. Does anyone know if there is
an option that I must change or another way to solve my
problem? Thanks.

PAUL,
You may need to clear your TIF as you may have a corrupt file there.

Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab
Click the "Delete Files" button, when prompted place a check in:
"Delete all offline content", click OK
Click the "Clear History" button, click OK.
Click the Settings button, adjust the TIF size to 50 mb, click OK

Try to clear the Temporary Internet Files folder. In addition this MS KB
