I wish to tidy up my old e-mails by removing some complete folders and
loading them onto cd. Drag and drop does not seem to work. How do I achieve
my desired result?

Are you talking about Outlook, part of MS Office, or Outlook EXPRESS?

Microsoft Outlook

Then do File-New-Outlook data File. Drag the folders you want to move into
the new pst file. Close Outlook. Then copy the new pst file onto your CD. Be
aware - you will NOT be able to open that pst file directly from the CD (if
that is what you were planning to do:) you will have to copy it back to your
HDD, remove the Read-Only attribute, and then in Outlook do
File-Open-Outlook Data File and navigate to where you copied the pst file
to. This factor may amend your thinking!

Unless you are running out of hd space, have you looked at Archive, within
OL?
