Download Adobe Flash Player

I have fairly new Dell w/Vista and cannot download Adobe Flash Player. Have
gone through Adobe's complete run down of "Help" procedures to no avail.
Program still stalls halfway through installation procedure. Any suggestions?

There is a difference between downloading and installing an application. In
this case, you seem to have successfully downloaded the Flash Player, but
you are encountering problems installing it. Try this, right click the Adobe
Flash Player executable > click 'Run as Administrator' to see if it will
install.

If that does not work, try disabling User Account Control in Control Panel >
User Accounts > Turn User Account Control On or Off (temporarily) then try
installing the Flash Player again.

Thanks Andre but still having a problem. The Adobe Flash Player icon appears
only in the "Install or Change a Program" window, not on desktop or list of
programs so I cannot click to try to "Run as Administrator." I tried
uninstalling and then re-installing but the process stops half way through.
The Flash Player logo appears only as mentioned above in the "Install or
Change" option window. I also tried disabling User Account Control but that
did not seem to help.

Thanks Andre but still having problems. I tried installing through Firefox
as I saw you suggested to another correspondent. I get a little farther with
this. A box appears "Adobe Flash Player Plugins Installed" but then a box
appears saying Firefox must be closed before Flash Player can be installed.
How do I close Firefox without turning off computer? I tried turning off
computer and, when turning on, I had an Adobe icon on desktop to "Install."
Then went through same excercise as above again, saying Firefox had to be
closed.
