adobe flash player

I have a windows vista. I had adobe flash player, this morning a box popped
up when I signed on to install a newer version of adobe flash. I clicked
install now it said success, when I went to a web site that you need flash
player to see certain things I could'nt see any thing. So I go to download
flash player and Internet explorer says: Has blocked this site from using an
active x control in a unsafe manner. as a result this page may not display
correctly.I've tried doing everything that was suggested and nothing worked
please help! thank you

Latest flash Version.
Untick the Google toolbar option before downloading there.!!!!
