doubling of sent email

This totally confuses me. My parents computer works great. Everything is
fine except when they send large emails. A small email is sent fine but
anything of a couple of meg or more arrives doubled up at the recipient. In
the sent box it's only showing as one. I can watch it send and it'll say
sending one email. But when the recipient gets it they get two copies, both
the exact same. Of course their ISP is saying it's not them but when they
email a 4 meg letter to themselves it also comes back as doubled. My guess
is the ISP is doing some time out thing, maybe? All the settings seem ok and
the browser works perfect.

Any suggestions, thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If your parents scan mail with their antivirus scanner, have them disable
the mail scanning, increase the account server timeout value, and lengthen
the send/receive interval to no less than ten minutes.
