Double Outlook 2003 main folder.

Hi.

I have these two folders with the same name in my MS Outlook 2003 left pane.
You'll find a picture of the situation here:
http://www.tresfjording.com/images/diverse/Galbaras_135.jpg

When I right click on the bottom one, and choose Close Zadig Galbaras I get
an error message stating:
"The operation failed. An object could not be found"
That's it, no error number or anything.

As the tiny "minus"-icon suggests, there is no collaps or expand function.
There is no use clicking on the folder either, thus nothing happens, besides
this aforementioned error message.

Is there a way I can get rid of this useless appendix?

If right-click>Close doesn't work, then see this:

You are right I think.

I don't import, but merely move the PST file to where I want it to be, and
then start up Outlook.
During startup Outlook reports a missing PST file and I get the possibility
to browse for it.

But how do I get rid of it?

I didn't know what PST file it was originating from, but a search for all
PST files on my computer uncovered two PST files being used at that time.
I therefore located and renamed the one I want to get rid of, and restartet
Outlook. I even rebooted the computer.
That did not fix it.

It didn't fix it, it caused the problem. Never manipulate a PST that is
active in a mail profile or you will corrupt the profile. See my other post
with the web page links. I think you'll need a new mail profile, so check
out the second link.
