Double Clicking .reg, .vbs, and .scr files opens notepad

In my original post I said that I tried using those files but they were only
opened in notepad.

Right clicking on the reg file and selecting Merge does the same thing as
double clicking the file....opens it in notepad

Open Regedit.exe and use the File/Import option to merge a REG file. I
should have included that note in my previous post.

Thanks Alan, I imported the SCR file association fix and it worked.

I had the same problem with .SCR files. I used Wesley Vogel's fix and it worked instantly.
