I am having a few problems with XP. When I double click the icons on my
desktop, nothing happens. I want to be able to double click and open the
program. It has always been working this way but I do not know what happened.

I appreicate the help.

I think you have something like autorun file inside the folders. It
sometimes distributed automatically because of viruses. Try to remove
them. It may works.

Hi Kisna,

Thank you very much for replying to my question. I have AVG anti virus and
I run it all the time. I do not think that I have any viruses. How does
autorun work? Should I remove autorun from all of my folders? Do I have to
do this manually?

Maybe you just need to adjust the "double-click mouse speed". You can
do so under Mouse in the Control Panel.
