Double Click Does not work Anywhere or for Anything

Double does not work anywhere. I can not use double click to open any
folders, programs, etc on either the desktop or in the drive itself. It also
does function at all. It is not the left click button because it can still
select and if I switch the function of the left and right button, the now
right button can not double click. I have tried uninstalling and then
installing the mouse drivers. I have also looked through the various mouse
and folder options, options. I am at a loss as to the cause of this.

Did not work :(

Thing is, it is not just executables. It is My Computer, folders,
shortcuts, things on the task bar, etc.

Hi

Try the fix for the .LNK files on the same page.

Still did not work. I was switching mice when this occured, I did however
follow directions. Completly uninstalled the old drivers before installing
the new. The new one worked for a while. Neither mouse nor their drivers
fix the problem, and just having the mouse without it's specialized drivers
leads to the same result of not having double click work. I do greatly
appreciate the help I have been getting so far.

I've seen this problem on PC's and servers with PCAnywhere installed.
USUALLY a reboot will fix it. I assume you've tried that already, so I would
suggest trying to log on with a different user name to create a new profile
and see if that helps. And if PCAnywhere is installed ont he machine, try
running the LiveUpdate to see if there are any updates to the program.
(Version 10.0 never worked well at all, 10.5 was considerably better on XP,
and 11.0 has been the best. Version 9x would crash XP. )

bizarrely, i remember a similar thing with PCAnywhere that I experienced (I
think both buttons became right mouse button) and updating the graphics
drivers sorted it. Somethign else to try perhaps?

That worked, I logged in as Admin and double click worked. So I guess I will
make a new user name for myself. Thanks for the help.
