Dot Matrix rolls on Long Forms & XP

A custom paper size (8.50in x 21.99in) printer driver
(LQ24080) is set up . When a program using a form created
in Crystal reports (v7) prints, whatever length of the
page that is less than 21.99in will be held until the next
piece of paper is inserted, it will roll the page,
throwing the printing off. On the LQ2480, this will
eventually lock up the printer. Is it the Crystal reports,
the LQ2480 printer or the XP O/S? Same setup works fine in
98se/winMe/NT/Win2000 - it's the XP... Any suggestions
other than dumping the XP?
 
If you know anyone with any printer codes savvy you might try printing to a
file then examine the commands that are setting the page size. Try it on
2000 and Xp to see what the difference is.
